Updated 1/14: Partial Rail Trail Closure to Complete Improvements
Beginning Monday, December 21, 2020 the Rail Trail will be closed indefinitely from the Lowell line to Golden Cove, Golden Cove to Chelmsford Center AND Chelmsford Center to High Street in order to complete necessary improvements to the trail. Right now work is concentrating on cutting out damaged sections and removing the roots that caused the problem. Repaving will be done in the spring. The work is being done in conjunction with a Mass Trails Grant and is expected to be completed in Spring of 2021.
