Demolition work at Cushing Place began during the week of October 1, 2018. A major portion of the site has been fenced off. There is no access via Cushing Place from the lower portion of Central Square on Boston Road. The only entry and exit access to the area is via the driveway near Brickhouse Sports Grill. While parking is still available along the trail near the kiosk, this situation is expected to change in the near future and all parking for trail access will likely be unavailable for the duration of the construction work. When this occurs, further information on alternative parking locations will be posted.
Trail users should NOT park along the driveway as these spaces are reserved for tenants of the Center Hotel Apartments and patrons of Brickhouse Sports Grill. Likewise, trail users should NOT park in the area behind the Central Square businesses at Cushing Place (off Boston Road across from Fishbones Restaurant) as these are private parking lots.
