January 9, 2022 – Winter Trail Use

The BFRT is not plowed in the winter to allow for winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snow shoeing. Trail users should be aware that parts of the trail may be slippery. Be especially cautious of black ice, particularly on bridges. Walkers are strongly advised to use traction devices, such as mini spikes, on their shoes. Also please do not walk in the ski tracks.
