Live for Liv is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization honoring Olivia Marchand, just 17 years old who lost her life tragically to an incidence of domestic violence in 2010.
The Ride for Liv/Run for Liv celebrates Olivia’s life and raises awareness of domestic violence in our communities.
The event is held at the 4H Fairground in Westford and has bike routes for 50, 23 and 6-mile rides along the scenic back roads of Westford, Chelmsford, Concord, Carlisle, Groton and Acton, and a 5K run along a portion of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. There is truly something for everyone at this event!
All proceeds from the event will be donated to organizations that help support the victims of domestic violence, and to continue the work of the Live for Liv Foundation and are tax deductible. In 2017 proceeds were donated to Alternative House, The Mahoney Foundation, and the Westford Coalition for Nonviolence, and the Westford Police Department.
A delicious FREE catered barbeque and family-friendly events are planned for after the ride to have fun and celebrate healthy relationships. There will be ice cream, games, face painting, arts and crafts, massages, essential oils, raffle items, and merchandise.
Donations, sponsorships and team participation are welcome. Your support helps us achieve our vision of not only remembering Olivia, but also helps prevent another innocent victim’s life end due to domestic violence.
Sponsors will receive recognition on signage, in media publicity at the event, and on the Live for Live website with your logo. Sponsors will also be recognized by the level of donation on tee shirts given to the first 300 participants at the event.
