Lots of news about the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail since our Spring Newsletter. Phase 2B (Bridge over Route 2) and Phase 2D (Sudbury) are making progress. Phase 2B construction began in May, with clearing and rail removal. In Sudbury the Phase 2D design was approved by MassDOT in August. On November 3, On the November ballot Sudbury voters will be asked to approve funding for the acquisition of the 1.4 miles of the CSX-owned corridor in Sudbury.
